My desire to achieve fluency led to me losing a grip on my finances. To be truthful there is no excuse as I should have been more aware of what was happening, it was as if I was blind to the fact that I was slowly falling into more and more debt.



I felt that the biggest problem that I would ever face in my life was the fact that I had a stutter. If I could manage to overcome this most frustrating form of speech impediment then my life was sure to improve. I also believed that if I could successfully deal with my biggest problem that I would then be able to find a solution to any other issues that I would face.





The main reason I was in debt was due to the fact that I did not earn enough money. Why was this? Well it was basically due to the fact that I had a stutter! Now some people may think that I am just make excuses and that I am blaming the stutter for all of the difficulties that I had. The reality is that is quite difficult to obtain a well paying job for people who have a stutter well it was for me at least. What jobs are suitable for people who have a speech impediment?



The debt gradually became bigger and bigger. I eventually realised that I needed to do something about the debt but even then I still wanted to concentrate on finding a cure for stuttering.



Once I had successfully overcome the stutter I then had to deal with my debt problem. I decided to seek the help of a debt specialist from Birmingham , he was very beneficial, as was the fact that I was now able to earn a decent wage.



Due to the size of my debt it took a long time to eradicate it. I needed to make some big changes to my overall way of life, this basically involved spending less money by being more prudent. I had to sacrifice the luxuries that I had become used to enjoying but I was more than willing to do anything to become debt free.
