Friends DVDs are available in a couple of different collections, but the latest collection is packaged in a streamlined and compact manner so as not to take up loads of shelving space. Not only that, but the collection also sports new artwork, although the menus and other familiar aspects are the same as previous releases.

This new edition of Friends is just the latest in a long line of DVD releases of the show. It has also been released as multi disc season sets and also as a few releases that follow certain themes, such as all of the weddings together and others. Fans of the mega show have also been given the opportunity to purchase a special wooden box to keep all of their discs in as well, although the only problem that many people found with the box was that it took up quite a bit of room on their shelves at home. The entire series is available in a set of 40 DVDs which surprisingly takes up less space than you might think, thanks to its compact packaging.

As one of the longest running and one of the most successful sitcoms in American television history, the show amassed a huge following during the ten seasons that it ran. Friends, of course, is about six friends in New York City that has us following them through the late 20s and early 30s as they laugh, cry, grow, and learn about the ups and downs of life together, in amusing ways. The sitcom has been described as easy to get comfortable with.

When fans open up the package, at first it can seem overwhelming trying to find a specific episode in a series of 40 discs and 236 episodes. However, there is a very functional and well organized booklet that comes with the collection that contains all of the information about the episodes and all of the disc lists so it is important not to misplace that booklet. The book has the complete list of the names of the episodes, the numbers, and also the descriptions of them. The discs themselves list only the numbers for the episodes, but not the names.

The new edition of Friends has the same content as the original full set releases. There are menu designs and bonus features that are the same; the only real thing that is different is the artwork for the collection. The 40 DVDs are divided into groups that are in hardbound books that feature photos of each of the main characters. This is the perfect collection for those fans who do not own a lot of episodes already, and owning the set is the most economical way to own the 236 episodes of the show. With extra features and many bonuses this DVD set will be entertained for hours, if not days with their favorite show.
